Restructuring of Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET)
(Effective from June 2026 Session)
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) is striving to continuously enhance the quality of education, professional standards, and overall learning experience for aspiring Company Secretaries. In line with this objective, a comprehensive review of the Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) structure has been undertaken by the Institute.
(A) Highlights
- Curriculum & Syllabus aligned with emerging corporate, technological, and regulatory developments.
- Enhanced Assessment Framework focusing on conceptual understanding, analytical abilities, communication skills, and professional aptitude.
- Updated Study Material and Learning Resources to support effective preparation.
- Improved Examination Experience.
- Strengthened Foundational Competencies to prepare students for CS Executive and CS Professional Programme Stages.
(B) Effective Date
The first session of restructured CSEET will be held in June 2026.
The last session of existing CSEET in remote proctored mode will be held in January 2026 and students passing the CSEET in January 2026 session shall be eligible to seek registration in CS Executive Programme within one year from the date of declaration of results of CSEET without payment of exemption fee.
(C) Eligibility for Registration
- Only Indian National can apply
- A Candidate passed / appearing in the Senior Secondary (10+2) Examination & equivalent thereto.
(D) Exemption from CSEET
The following categories of students shall be exempted from CSEET and may register directly to CS Executive Programme.
Candidates who have passed:
- ICSI Foundation Examination
- Final Stage of Chartered Accountancy Course conducted by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India
- Final Stage of Cost Accountancy Course conducted by The Institute of Cost Accountants of India
- Bachelor’s Degree or Post Graduate Degree Examinations
Further, Students appearing in the Final Year / Final Semester examination of Bachelor’s Degree Examinations may also register directly to CS Executive Programme.
(E) Fee Structure

(J) Verification, Certified Copies & RTI
- Verification of Marks: Within 21 Days
- Certified Copies: Within 30 Days
- Processing VOM: 30 Days from receipt
- RTI Applications: 45 Days from receipt; processed within total 60 Days
(K) Refund of Fee
No refund except double payment.
(L) Validity of CSEET Registration
Valid for 3 years from month of registration.
(M) Validity of CSEET Result
Valid for 1 year from date of result. Must register for CS Executive within this period.
(N) Marksheets
E-Marksheet only.
