The Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test just changed - significantly. A new syllabus, a new exam format, and a new two-step registration and enrollment process that trips up hundreds of students every session. Read this before you register: missing the enrollment window alone will bar you from the exam, even if you've already paid.
The Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) has undergone a significant transformation. Starting from the June 2026 session, ICSI has shifted to a Restructured Syllabus and a Centre-Based exam model. This guide provides everything you need to navigate these new changes.
1. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Students who have passed or are appearing in the Senior Secondary (10+2) examination or equivalent.
2. CSEET 2026 Exam & Registration Deadlines
ICSI now conducts CSEET three times a year (February, June, and October) instead of four.

◉ Crucial Update: Under the new 2026 rules, you must complete Registration first, followed by Exam Enrollment. Missing the enrollment window means you cannot sit for the exam even if registered.
3. Fee Structure (Latest 2026)
The ICSI has updated the fees to include mandatory online classes and revamped study materials.
- Registration Fee: ₹7,500 (One-time, includes SIP and Online Classes).
- Examination Enrollment Fee: ₹1,500 (Per session).
- Late Enrollment Fee: ₹250.
4. Restructured Syllabus (June 2026 Onwards)
The exam is now Centre-Based and spread over 4 days. It combines Subjective and OMR-based patterns.

Passing Criteria: 40% in each paper and 50% aggregate.
Negative Marking: No negative marking for Paper 4.
5. Documents Required
Scan these in JPEG/PDF format (Size: 20KB to 500KB):
- ◉Photograph and Signature.
- ◉10th Pass Certificate (Date of Birth proof).
- ◉12th Marksheet or Admit Card (Provisional allowed).
- ◉Category Certificate (for fee concession).
- ◉Government ID Proof (Aadhaar/Voter ID/PAN).
6. How to Apply Online
- 1. Visit the ICSI Smash Portal: Go to https://smash.icsi.edu
- 2.Select: 'Online Services' → 'Register for CSEET'.
- 3.Fill in: Basic details and upload documents.
- 4.Pay: The Registration Fee (₹7,500).
- 5.Important: Log in again during the Enrollment Window to pay the exam fee (₹1,500) and select your exam centre.
